CARM Registration Benefits For Importers

The CARM registration process requires businesses to register for a business number and set up a CARM Portal account. Currently, CARM Client Portal Release 1 offers basic functionality and allows importers to set up an account for their business. The full functionality will be available in Release 2. The CBSA is implementing CARM Release 2 in phases. This version includes new options for duty and tax payment, new billing cycles, and the CBSA business number registration. In addition to the new CARM registration, CBSA has announced that it will replace the B3 and B2 customs coding forms with CAD forms.
